This site is about accountability and transparency of local governments. While the focus will be on the Village of Climax, Climax Township, and the Lawrence Memorial District Library, some attention will be given to the Climax-Scotts Community School District and the students that it serves. Also, there will be some information about governments outside our small six-mile square township. We believe that there is no local news reporting that tells the whole story of local affairs and the people that conduct them. It is this gap that this site seeks to fill. We do not promise to be comprehensive, but rather, to reveal some of that which an informed electorate is entitled to know. There’s no guarantee that it will be pretty. But it is guaranteed that this site will not give a wink and a nod of silence to anyone entrusted to promote the best interests of the taxpayers and residents and to spend tax money in trust.
