A NEW VILLAGE COUNCIL IS COMING: Vote November 3, 2026!
Dave Dell, Mark Waterhouse, and Josh Fleisher have filed to run for the three Village Council seats up for election on November 3, 2026. These individuals will replace Carolyn Kelly, Ben Moore, and Joline Chaney each of whom chose not to seek reelection. Joline Chaney is a great loss to the Village.
These new Council members, along with Trustees Nick Ludwig and Janet Sutherland, are honest and decent people. They can:

- Protect Village residents from Bill Lewis’ penchant for doing Village business behind the backs of the other Trustees and the public.
- Reverse Lewis’ excesses and stop his wasteful spending of our tax dollars.
- Reduce our Village taxes by reducing the millage we are charged.
- Look into Lewis’ actions in connection with virtually giving away the use of our library building to his other employer, the District Library.
- Investigate the participation of Lewis and others in entering into an agreement to permit Anthony Bates to avoid paying contempt fines that he incurred in connection with code enforcement activity at 110 S. Main St.
- Hire an attorney to represent the interests of the Village rather than those of Lewis and his pals and supporters.
- Hold the line on the installation of solar arrays and battery storage facilities on land in the Village.
Will they? That remains to be seen. But to be sure, they won’t lie to our faces and withhold relevant information.
