On August 13, 2025, a Village resident exercised his First Amendment right to freedom of speech.
In November 2024, Ben Moore ran unopposed on the ballot to fill a two year vacancy on the Village of Climax Council. A last minute write-in candidate was unable to mount an effective challenge to keep Moore off the Council.
According to state court records, Mr. Moore is a “Habitual (felony) Offender” which did not disqualify him from public office.
